The Chinese poet Ou-yang Hsiu pens a poem entitled Fisherman, which brings to the mind's eye a typical Chinese painting of his time:
'The wind blows the line out from his fishing pole.In a straw hat and grass cape the fishermanIs invisible in the long reeds.In the fine spring rain it is impossible to see very farAnd the mist rising from the water has hidden the hills.'
