Female figurine in the 'Venus' palaeolithic tradition, carved about 24,000 years ago and found in the Kostenky settlement, in the river Don region of Russia. She is unusual in having detailed decoration suggesting either hair or a cap on her head, and an ornament of some kind round her neck
