1834-5 - St Helena Terrace is built beside the Thames, on land auctioned by the Crown in 1833 (Auction document)

1854 - The Russian revolutionary and exile Alexander Herzen spends much of this year in St Helena Terrace before moving to Twickenham (Twickenham Museum)

c. 1955 - Ellaline Terriss, heart-throb of the Edwardian stage and now in her eighties, moves into 1 St Helena Terrace (Local knowledge)
