William Price devised his own ‘Archdruid' uniform which consisted of a hat made from red fox skin, a white cotton shirt which fastened with laces, a double-breasted waistcoat of red suede with 2 rows of brass buttons, green trousers trimmed with red, and a long tartan plaid cape. He never wore socks or stockings because he believed they prevented the evaporation of sweat. Price described his costume as ‘the military uniform ... worn by Welshmen when they defeated ... Englishmen at the Battle of Bosworth nearly 500 years ago'.
