This painting of the battle of Pavia is nearly contemporary with the battle. Confusingly it dates the battle incorrectly to 1521 in the inscription in the bottom right corner. Other contemporary paintings of the battle are in the Ashmolean Museum, Oxford, the Royal Collection, Hampton Court, the Kunsthistorischesmuseum, Vienna and the National Museum Stockholm. This one was originally at Stow Bardolph Hall, Norfolk, and was presented to the Royal Armouries from the Williams collection in 1980. i.142
