(8km/5m SW of Wakefield) Britain's first open-air sculpture gallery, mounting a series of exhibitions in the rolling parkland (landscaped in the late 18C) of Bretton Hall. The sculpture park, established in 1977, includes studios open to the public showing work in progress. In 1992 some pieces by Henry Moore were added to the works on permanent exhibition in the park.
