Yorkshire pudding
|
|
A baked batter of flour, eggs and milk which is the traditional accompaniment in Britain for roast beef. Originally baked in the same pan as the joint (or beneath the joint in a spit oven) so that it mingled with the juices of the meat, it is now almost invariably cooked on its own.
