(Edinburgh) Collection established in 1960 and housed since 1984 behind the classical façade of John Watson's Hospital – built in 1825 for destitute children and designed by William Burn (1789–1870). The holdings cover the broad range of European 20C art while allowing a certain emphasis on the national contribution (for example the *Scottish Colourists).
