The Rocky Horror Show
|
|
Gothic and camp musical by Richard O'Brien (b. 1941), which opened in 1973 in the small upstairs studio in London's Royal Court Theatre and went on to become an international cult – particularly after the film version of 1975, The Rocky Horror Picture Show. The story brings a wholesome couple of newly-weds, Brad and Janet, to the castle of Dr Frank'n'Furter, a 'sweet transvestite' from Transylvania who has a ghoulish henchman by the name of Riff-Raff.
