Nonsuch Palace
|
|
Extravagantly ornamented hunting palace built near Epsom in Surrey by *Henry VIII in 1538. Its name suited its bombastic style, proclaiming that there was 'none such'. It was demolished in the 1680s, but the site survives as Nonsuch Park.
