(Yorkshire Museum, York) Important piece of English jewellery of the 15C, consisting of a diamond-shaped gold pendant engraved with an image of the Trinity and embellished with a large sapphire. It was discovered in 1985 near Middleham Castle, on the edge of the Yorkshire Dales. In 1991 the Yorkshire Museum launched an appeal for £2.5m to save it from leaving the country.
