The Lord's my Shepherd

Now a favourite hymn in England, it was not in any Anglican hymn-book until 1965. Its popularity can be dated precisely to 1947, when it was included in the marriage service of Princess Elizabeth, the future Elizabeth II. Written for the Scottish Psalter of 1650, as a metrical version of Psalm 23, it had long been popular north of the border. It is sung now to the 19C tune known as Crimond.
