King's pattern
|
|
The design used more than any other on silver spoons and forks in the Victorian period. The handles, heavily ornamented on both sides, have a scallop shell motif at the end which is repeated on the underside where the handle broadens into the bowl of the spoon or the prongs of the fork. The queen's pattern has minor differences of decoration but is closely related.
