bar billiards
|
|
Form of *billiards played in pubs, with nine holes set in the surface of the table. They have different values from 10 to 200 – representing the score achieved when a ball is potted. To retain the element of skill on a small table, the game is complicated by skittles placed in front of the four most valuable holes; knocking over a skittle incurs penalties. The game first became popular between the wars.
