Guide Dogs for the Blind Association
|
|
(Windsor) The use of guide dogs for the blind was pioneered in Germany after World War I. Associations were established in Switzerland and the USA in 1928, and the British branch trained its first dogs in 1931. There are now about 4000 trained dogs working with blind people in Britain.
