Gaiety Girls

The chorus girls, noted for their good looks, who sang and danced in a string of successful musical comedies presented at the Gaiety Theatre in the Strand in London during the 1890s. Each show had 'girl' in the title (The Shop Girl 1894, The Circus Girl 1896, and so on). The Gaiety was demolished in 1903 for the development of the Aldwych.
