(Entertainments National Service Organization) Production enterprise, with its headquarters in London's *Drury Lane Theatre, which throughout World War II provided entertainment, from solo acts up to full-length dramas, for the troops abroad and for camps and factories at home. ENSA was known affectionately at the time as Every Night Something Awful.
