(BBC, 1959–66) Television series which ran to more than 150 episodes, following the adventures of two doctors – Dr Finlay (Bill Simpson) and Dr Cameron (Andrew Cruickshank) – who live with their housekeeper Janet (Barbara Mullen) in the small fictional town of Tannochbrae. Set in the 1920s, it derived from the personal experiences of its creator, A.J. *Cronin.
