Cwm Idwal
|
|
(11km/7m SE of Bangor) Glacial valley, overhung by the precipice of Glyder Fawr with the great fissure known as the Devil's Kitchen. Welsh legend says that the Kitchen is haunted by a murderous foster-father who drowned Prince Idwal in the nearby lake. The area was designated a nature reserve in 1954.
