Bodmin Moor

High heathland in Cornwall with granite outcrops or tors (highest point Brown Willy, 419m/1375ft). On the only road across the moor is the village of Bolventor, containing Jamaica Inn – made famous as a smugglers' resort in the fiction of Daphne *du Maurier.
