Box Grove

|
Stone Age site in West Sussex, near Chichester, where archaeologists have unearthed many important traces of early human settlement. It achieved a new level of renown in 1994 with the discovery of an almost complete shinbone dating from about 500,000 years ago, making 'Box Grove man' one of the four oldest known Europeans.
