Blenheim

World War II bomber. The Bristol Blenheim IV, with a crew of three, was the RAF's main daytime bomber in Europe in the early years of the war, the larger *Wellington being used for night sorties. It was a modified version of the Blenheim I, with the nose extended to accommodate the navigator, who also aimed the bombs. It entered service with the RAF in March 1939, and was claimed then to be the fastest bomber in the world at 475kph/295mph.
