Abbey Dore

(16km/10m SW of Hereford)
Oddly shaped parish church, of unusual size and dignity. It is the surviving east end (chancel and transepts) of a 12–13C Cistercian monastery church, with a tower added in the 17C. It is one of very few Cistercian buildings still used for worship in Britain.
