The Caretaker
|
|
(1960) The play which established the reputation of Harold *Pinter. It is about the shifting patterns of dominance in an ill-assorted male trio. Davies is an obsessive tramp who is surprised to find himself offered the post of caretaker in a flat which seems to belong to two brothers, Mick and Aston. He brilliantly plays them off against each other before finally being thrown out.
